Thought:
On a hotel provided shower cap in a box, it says: FITS ONE HEAD.
My fiancé (at the time) asked me on the phone one evening if there was something that I wanted him to purchase at the grocery store that I would need on our honeymoon. I greatly surprised him with my answer, “Do you keep enough white vinegar in the house?” He asked how many salads I planned on preparing and didn’t I know that the more robust vinegars made better dressings? I explained that one can never have too much white vinegar, and that I would need at least two bottles, one for the bathroom and the other for any laundry that needed to be done.
After a long wedding day and longer flight, we arrived at the apartment, and I found two bottles of vinegar waiting for me. One was immediately taken to the bathroom and placed into the shower. The other was set into the laundry room.
I’ll admit, my new husband thought a bottle of white vinegar and small Tupperware dish sitting on the rim of the tub was a tad odd – but he had married me, right?!? I will let you in on a little secret, a mixture of vinegar and water is the best hair conditioner there is! It rinses your hair clean and your hair shines. All you have to do is pour a little bit of white vinegar (I use about ½ cup) to a small bowl of water (you can go with very warm water for a soothing sensation, or as I use, slightly cool water for an invigorating white vinegar hair rinse) and after shampooing, simply pour it onto your hair. Don’t rinse your hair (yep, you read that right) and wrap it in a towel. There is nothing but anecdotal evidence of this, but it seems to make my very thick hair dry faster. (Oh, the many make-it-yourself uses of white vinegar! I love vinegar!)
You won’t smell like a salad – I promise!
